Heading towards a golden ale with the sweet light malts and fruity zesty hops. Very refreshing, and cut through the tar from the 20 milds we’d just had very nicely. Not lavender honey as such, but definitely a bit floral. Golden orange ... sweet flowery hop nose ... light hint of lavender and fruity hops ... little tart grapfruit. very drying... decent enough light fruity bitter.
tk2 bottle at home ... to be honest id not really change much on what i said. Decent balance. and on reflection uping from 3.2-3.5 StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Feb 22, 2007 A mid orange pink coloured beer with a frothy white head. A strong wheaty nose, fruity and a spicy hoppiness. The taste is dry and spicy, somewhat sour and metallic, with cereal and citrus fruit flavours. Tasted alongside Straw Dog, which is meant to be a wheat beer, but this has as many characteristics to suggest this is too!! However, no sign of the supposed flavours mentioned on the label. (Bottle, BCA - purchased from the Sandringham Christmas Food and Drink Fair 2006, £2.50 a bottle).
