heemer77 (3634), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 26, 2008 I got a bottle of this at Bello Vino. the body is hazy meidum yellow with a white head. Aromas of doughy malt and some leafy green lettuce dominate. There is also a little bit of sweetness. The taste has some weird tangy notes with a little bit of metal. There is also some nasty cheap tobacco. Wow, this is pretty awful. Tmoney99 (3503), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle from Belo Vino. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with minimal lacing. Heavy grainy aroma. Light body with a watery texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet grainy finish of short duration. Was not even worth having once. iowaherkeye (1375), rocking podunk Marengo!, Iowa, USA Feb 24, 2008 12oz bottle, no date. Clear straw with a two finger white head, fading to about a 1/4" for the duration--better than most pale lagers I’ve encountered. I have never smelled a beer like this--canned corn and saltines is exactly right (I agree with CharlesDarwin), with some weird funky tang on top of it. It almost has a bit of a vomit smell to it. The flavor was the same only somebody sprinkled a little dirt on everything. I didn’t really pick up on the vomit at this point anymore. More salty than sweet or bitter--in fact, not bitter at all. Light carbonation with a thin body. Beer geek or not, I can’t see anyone drinking this and thinking it’s good. CharlesDarwin (1376), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 15, 2007 Restrained dead corn aroma. Overwhelming creamed corn. Saltines and other stale crackers. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow, rimmed with a fast fading clean white sparse head. Flavor is an old bread and corn sugar aroma. Lightly sweet and bland. Seltzer flavored. Not old or skunky tasting, but the hops are faint. Finishes on a slight metallic pallor. Bland, but not terrible. Thanks Sean!
