By far the best of all the Woodchuck Ciders I have tried recently. Decently dark amber in color and the taste is of an extra strong/sweet cider. Slipstream (786), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Updated: Dec 16, 2009This is pretty much the gold standard for ciders in the northeastern USA. The flavor is middle of the road, fresh, and tasty. If you enjoy a cider here and there, you can’t go wrong with Woodchuck Amber. Fairly light aroma and pale pour (not really amber, actually). Refreshing apple juice flavor that is more sweet than dry, but it still has a pleasant tang on the back end of it. This would probably mix very nicely with a good lager too. Versatile and enjoyable. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2009 Enjoyed on tap and many 12oz bottles over the years, most recently the former. The cider pours a medium to deep amber color, with just the slightest head at the top that pretty quickly makes itself only a memory. The nose shows some apple character, but it seems to be of the sort that comes from a big gallon jug at the supermarket. It seems the cider is back-sweetened with juice to bring out more apple flavor. While I see no problem with this, the juice used gives the cider an artificial aroma and palate. The latter is fairly lightly carbonated and is fairly dry in the finish. In between, it is almost insipidly thin, and lacks a whole lot of character. Ciders tend to be dry, but it seems that the manufacturer would benefit from re-evaluating its recipe to include apple varietals that are leave more residual sugar following fermentation. tnkw01 (214), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

I really like them and have tried several. This is one I used to drink all the time. It has a nice apple taste with the right balance of sweet and crisp dryness. It is a very refreshing drink.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Bottle. Pour is medium to light golden. Aroma is sweet with a hint of tart apple skin. Flavors are well blended and sweet like apple pie apples. A hint of added sugar enhances the pie perception. Not too bad of a cider. Could be a bit more adventurous and complex.
