Clear, amber cider with a small, frothy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is of overripe apples. Fruity, sweet and tart flavor profile. Medium-bodied and satiny with soft carbonation. Finishes fruity and a touch sweet. Not so dry! keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA

Strongbow, Hornsby’s, Magners, Woodpecker. But the first fermented cider I ever had the pleasure of tasting was a Woodchuck Amber. When I saw the Woodchuck Dark and Dry in a local liquor store, I decided it would be a safe bet. Wow. I’m a beer advocate through and through, but sometimes you’re in the mood for something a little different. This is it.
Woodchuck Dark and Dry really doesn’t taste a lot different than the more popular Amber style. Both are sweetish with a healthy apple kick. However, this one doesn’t leave you with that sugary gutache that too many Ambers can and do. The mouthfeel is light, the color is exceptional. I think this one would be great for a cool and crisp autumn afternoon watching football. If you like apples and getting drunk, this Chuck’s for you! TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA

bit of tartness at the beginning, but mellows a bit towards the end and finishes like apple juice. Mouthfeel is light bodied with light carbonation, which works here. Not bad, but I’m still waiting for a cider to blow my mind. Where are the Belgian ciders? jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 6, 2006 Pours the color of a dark lager, kind of like a Killians Irish Red. Smells of sweet applies. The flavor is defenitely drier than the other cider that Green Mountain makes, which I really like. It is still a very sweet drink, but is quite tasty. Cletus (5059), Connecticut, USA

Lacks the sourness of many other ciders, and I like that. This is like the amber woodchuck with a slightly drier finish. Tastes a bit less sweet. pik5el (51), Pasadena, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Dark body, for a cider that is. A great taste, one of the better ciders I have had. I love the complexity and the dryness of it. More complex than your average cider while still being completely light and refreshing. jdjuice (203), Japan
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 1, 2005 Watery, kind of bland, I like my ciders to have a bit of a sour bite to them and be refreshing, this one was just boring and not something I enjoyed. It wasn’t very dry to be honest.
