Dark and Dry is made with a blend of apples and champagne yeast but caramelized sugar is added just before filtering to impart a deep bronze tone. White sugar is used in the Amber Cider.

Bottle. Pours a gold amber color with a very thin, clingy head. Has a lot of bubbles rising from the bottom. Has a nice apple taste that is slightly tart. Kind of sweet and slightly dry. Good apple aroma. Easy to drink and is rather enjoyable.

Bottle: Pours a crystal clear golden color with no head. Nose is faintly sweet and bits of apple. Tastes tart and dary with more apple. Not real intense in flavor, but still pleasant.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep honey color with no head, but a couple of wisps of foam at the edges which suggest that this might have a white head if it was able to maintain one. Big clean apple scent with a wine like tannin sort of smell. Big full body and a good amount of layered sweetness. Clean tart finish. Probably my favorite of the woodchucks.

Sampled in a side-by-side with the oak aged. This cider is a hue darker and smoother drinking. Aroma is les apple-y and darker as well. I prefer this over the oak aged.

Pours a light burnt golden with a white ring of head and some lacing. Aroma of brown sugar, red apples that were a bit too ripe. Taste is interesting in that it is both cloying and tart over the duration. Taste is apple juice, not really cidery. Light carbonation with a bit of sticky-sweet mouthfeel.

Apple juice for grown ups! Pours light amber with white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sour apples. Tastes like tart apple juice. Light to medium body with average carbonation. Ovedrall I thought this was pretty good.
