| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Pours clear, dark gold with a 2 finger fizzy off white head that fades really quickly to a ring, holds a little while after that, then is gone completely. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice, caramel, sweet red apples, vanilla and some light leafy/woody notes. Flavor is big on caramel, pumpkin pie spice (no cloves really though, so maybe more sweet bread spice like, but it reminds me of pumpkin pie), sweet red apples, and a lacto-like sweetness, maybe this has a lacto sugar in it, I don’t know. Palate is somewhat thin with a medium-high carbonation and a texture somewhat on the dry side of neutral and slightly creamy. Damn fine beverage for sure, probably a little low on the apple character, but very enjoyable. watson1977 (282), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2009 pours a very clear golden color with no head whatsoever...very unlively looking...looks like apple juice. aroma is like mulled apple cider...some nutmeg and cinnamon over apples. flavor is much the same...actually tastes kind of good...like apple juice with a spicy kick. very thin watery mouthfeel...though it is more lively than expected. slightly spicy aftertaste is not that bad. all in all, this isnt that bad but i wouldnt go out of my way to drink it again. bbrock81 (221), Le Mars, Iowa, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Nov 25, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours bright gold with a hint of red to it (note: contains caramel coloring), with a soda-pop head that fizzes away almost instantly. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg over sweet apples and sugar. Flavor is the same, starting with a spicy attack but moving to sweet right away, with a hint of tartness in the finish. The palate is exactly that of soda-pop. I’m pretty sure this is artificially carbonated. If you like sweet ciders, this is probably right up your alley. Overall it’s not too bad, and the spiciness gives it an interesting flavor that is much more interesting than Woodchuck’s other offerings. Slipstream (789), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Vermont autumn leaves on the label. Tangy, woody aroma with some apple and honey-malt sweetness at the base. A little phenol too. The flavor is full of pie spices and sweet apples, moving quickly to a tart close. This is a very nice cider, which I have come to expect from Woodchuck. Come on hopheads, have a cider from time to time - you can even mix it with your lager. You won’t regret it. I would like to see ciders growing in popularity and variety, the same way craft brew has. SmellGood (319), Memphis, Tennessee, USA

lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove in the aroma, along with apples, sugar, and a hint of metal.
flavor is much too sweet, like sweetened apple juice with a light spice finish, mostly nutmeg.
light body and carbonation, this isn’t very good or refreshing. lithy (1850), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2009 Septemberfest. Sample from a bottle thanks to Butters. Clear yellow, thin white cover. Aroma is cinnamon, potpourri, clove, apple. Taste is cinnamon, clove, floral, real cider. MicroGrog (36), New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 22, 2009 $1.50 tick at New beer. I heard this wasn’t as bad as their regular offerings.
Pint glass pour. Half inch of light gray battered foam that sticks around a bit longer then usual. Clear MGD caramelized additive color.
Smell is warming with vanilla & pineapple. A bit too much cinnamon & powdered sugar(though the cinnamon does come off really sort of natural). A packet of apple mulling spices & a weird bubblegum & faux pumpkin draw that isn’t quite what I expect or want. Overall pretty gentle in scent.
Taste is sweet upfront with muted Big Red cinnamon, plastic vanilla phenols, & prickly tart apples. The apple juice is pretty lost here. Finish saves it. It is toasty & dry, echoing with sweet potato puree & pie crust. All spice bitterness. I didn’t get any oak.
Soft carbonation & a dry, chalky(too may powdered spices) feel.
Probably the same exact stuff available year round, but they hide the factory runoff flavor much better here.
