I like Granny Smith’s, so I’ll give this a 0.1 boost over its cousin. cheapdark (2024), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells like sweet granny smith apples. No visible bubbles in my steeler stein. Not too sweet but sweeter than most beers. Medium carbonation and an ever so slight bitterness on the finish. Probably should not be rated with beers. Phatz (225), Paradise, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2006 This is a very unique beverage. I am not really sure what to compare it to? It was definitely good, but new to me.
Appearance: The most clear beverage I have reviewed to date. Perrier clear; that is, it’s barely tinted apple juice color. Completely transparent.
Smell: It has a nice granny smith apple aroma, that is sweet and fructose sugary, with a hint of tartness. Very gentle, sweet juice like smell.
Taste & Mouthfeel: A nice, crisp, tart appley taste and that is clean and refreshing. Juicy and spritzy; this smooth cool feel in the mouth is very drinkable. The taste is mild and easy, so it goes down so nicely.
Drinkability: This is not what I would think of when I want a ’beer’ (if you could even call this beer). It is an alcoholic Granny Smith Apple Cider and a very good one, as long as that is what you want.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 11, 2006 (Bottle from Belfast Co-op) Pours very pale yellow. A few bubbles, mostly still. Aroma mostly sourish apple. Mouthfeel a little watery, a little fizzy. Flavor of mostly sourish apple. Pretty unremarkable. Seems pretty homogenized, not fresh. (Rang #577) Suttree (2732), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2006 I remembered this one from a few years ago and thought it was slightly better than average cider, but this was very disappointing. Looks OK, smells OK, but has this weird flavor that really detracts from the sour/tart apple notes. Might be called mediciney, I guess. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2006 bottle - Pours clear and straw colored with a minimal head. The aroma is of sour apples. The flavor is sweet, too sweet, but not as overdone as the amber. The tartness of Granny Smith apples is quite apparent. This is so-so. I’d drink it again and it is kind of refreshing. It’s not something worth seeking out though. cweb7 (39), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2006 Bottle - Bought for the night before a day off to relax with. I think I got a bum 6 pack that was forgot about in back then stuck out. Had no head and no fizz. Tasted almost like a diluted vinegar. No sweetness to this one. Hopefully the next bottle is better.
