Macrobrew gold. Appley nose. Sprizty body. Some toast, apple. Pretty boring presentation. Too sweet.

Bottle… Clear amber cider with a small, fizzy, quickly dissipating head. Woodsy, apply nose - suggestions of sour mash and apple butter. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Sweet and woodsy with just a whisper of sour mash. Basically, a middle-of-the-road cider with fizz. Lengthy, sweet, mildly bourbony finish that dries out a touch in the end.

(12oz. bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a spare white head that quickly diminishes. Aroma of apple, oak, vinegar, caramel, and cork. Flavor of sweet apple and oak with a dry finish.

Been putting this off and putting this off... Pours gold with some fizzy bubbles. Smell does actually reveal oak. Some dry appley notes as well. Taste is sweet with some oakiness. Not bad.

Clear amber color with a diminished lid of light beige bubbles. I’m catching apples and aromatic bitters in the aroma. I like bitters so it is ok. Hints of oak, and apple pears in the background. Again with the bitters. Lemon-lime soda and bitters with a dash of oak chips. Orange rind, sweet apple juice and caramel. The first time I tried this I kind of liked it. Now its sweet and artificial.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours golden straw with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is champagny yeast, mild oaky and earthy apples. Tastes dry, apply, with champagny yeasty and chardonnay notes and a subtle oaky quality.

Bottle. Head is initially tiny, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is clear light to medium amber. Aroma is notes of apple, raw wood, caramel, light notes of vanilla, metal, and chemicals. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy/lively carbonation. Enough acidity to keep it drinkable, and not without some aromatic interest...but as with the rest of their line, it’s more like apple soda pop than authentic cider (which of course the caramel coloring, sulfites, and potassium sorbate on the ingredient list would suggest).
