Woodchuck Oak Aged Draft Cider

Bottle from Cavie. Pours like apple juice with a tiny white head. Aroma of sour apples, white grape juice. Taste is mostly like any other cider, but with a hint of wood and a thicker mouthfeel.

Bottle from FW Central Market. Clear orange color. No carbonation or head. Smell is not bad. Large fruit elements with a fair sense of oak. Some cologne smell as well. Interesting tart flavor mixed with green apple. The finish is a little strange and has a spaghetti flavor. Not bad but a little off.

Bottle from Cavie. Very light aroma with a hint of sour apple. The taste was rather strong, almost bitter. It was very carbonated, almost like a sparkling cider.

bottle thanks to cavie. man was this stuff dreadful. poured gold in appearance with not much head. aroma was that of a stale old dirty diaper and apples. flavor was just wretched......i dont believe i have ever tasted anything this bad. this is much worse than redbridge sorghum beer. i am literally sick to my stomach now and feel like puking this stuff back into the bottle and sending it back to the brewer and telling them that i improved it for them. i would prefer to suck the tongue of an anteater that just ran its tongue up the butt of a dead fat woman who just attempted to run a 5k marathon on a 100 degree day. if you would like to know how i really feel about the beer please BM me as i think i just BM’d in my underwear and have to go clean myself.

bottle - Pours clear golden and smells of green apples and oak. It tastes of sweet apples with a little tartness and ample soft oak flavors. It’s a little too sweet, in my opinion, but the oak goes very well with it and it’s enjoyable and very drinkable.

Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this cider poured a caramel-amber color with a trace of a white head. The aroma was dryish apple with a touch of wood. The flavor was medium sweet and tart apple. Less tart and sweet than the original. Medium length tart apple finish. Not a whole lot of oak flavor to this one.

Pours lightly carbonated dark pee yellow with no head (of course). Aromas of sour apple and oak. Flavor upfront of the slight sour apples with a little oak backing. Different but worth a try if your into hard ciders.

Pours a dirty gold-bronze with a thin fizzy white head that fades pretty quickly to a ring and holds for alittle while. Aroma is cooked apples, light earthy notes, a little caramel and sweet floral notes. Flavor is sweetish red and green apples, maybe a touch of honey here and there, hints of oak and vanilla throughout with just a little earthiness. Palate is pretty light with a medium, but not too sharp carbonation. Not bad overall, but it seems like a 3/5ths strength version of something spectacular.
