Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

Beer number 35 for me at the WBF in Durham, NC. This stuff is definitely better than the ACE Pear Cider, but I think I prefer the Woodchuck apples better--particularly the dry apple cider.

Had at Beer Fest. Again this was a welcomed try after other typical beers. Very pear tasting, out of all of the Woodchucks this was my favorite. Light, watery palate but great aroma.

The aroma is simple pears canned with vanilla. Lightly carbonated, and very light yellow. Not as sweet as ACE pear; though not very dry either. A fairly light cider overall, but not unpleasant.

Like the other woodchucks, the pear cider lives up to its name. Strongly smells and tastes like pears.

So so ish. Kind of bland really. This replaced the much better Colonial style.

Light and refreshing, but nothing too interesting going on here. The pear is dull and there’s too much of it.

Light in body and taste, not bad. Pleasant without trying too much for flavor--in the summer for a drink, that’s actually a pretty good thing.
