Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

High carbonation and sweet as expected. Sour if left sit on the tongue. Hints of apple, peel, and pear softness.

Pours a very very clear color, not yellow at all. Aroma of course is pears. Flavor very very light, a bit watery, and extremely smooth. Goes down very smooth and easy. Not much depth in flavor, but an enjoyable hot day drink.

Bottle. Not bad at all for what it is. If you are expecting a beer, it is not going to satisfy. Pours almost clear as water with no head to speak of. Aroma of apple and a hint of pear. Flavor is similar sweet but not overly so. Light effervescence. I have not had any other ciders to compare it to but with an open mind it was nice for a hot summer evening.

Bottle at Brickskeller, finished half of it after my friend who ordered it left without drinking it. First perry I’ve rated! This isn’t really too bad overall. Clear yellowish-green color with a short-lived fizzy white head. Pear and green apple aroma. Flavor more of the same. Palate pretty light with high carbonation. Nothing too special but it’s a decent summer drink.

Bland and unimaginative. Looks like a white wine and tastes like water mixed with a small amount of apple juice. Not very good.

Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Clear yellow-green, white fizz. Aroma is pear, green apple tartness, sugar. Taste is the same, sweet green apples and pears.

Good on a hot and humid summer day, but that’s it. Has hardly any type of pear flavor or aroma.

Smelled rather medicinal, a slight hint of sour pears mixed with sweetness. Then the flavor is so overly sweet from the sugars that are added and yet this is still medicinal and astringent in the finish. Not enjoyable at all.
