Commercial Description:
For years, we've been telling you that great taste grows on trees -- apple trees that is. But just across the orchard we discovered another kind of great taste. We went out on a limb and created Woodchuck Pear Cider, a crisply refreshing drink with the tantalizing essence of pear. You can buy it in 6-packs or on draft.

Nearly clear yellow-green. No head. Strong sweet aroma of fruit. Very sweet syrupy flavor and mouth feel. Some pear in the finish.

Pours a very light greenish golden color. Extremely sweet with some fruit flavor to it. A little too carbonated for my liking but an ok cider overall.

Bottle - Poured a very clear yellow-green in color with no head, but plenty of sparkly carbonation. Aroma is medium of pears and green apples... the apple portion seems artificially produced. Flavor is an interesting mix of pear and apple juice. Sweet to begin with but finishes with a slight citric sourness. OK, but not my favorite...

looks like sparkling water with some white froth. slight scent of pears with sugar in the background. smooth on the palate with a light pear flavor and a heavy sugar finish.

Bottle: Pale opaque yellow with no head. Aroma is very faint and lightly fruity. Taste is lightly fruity with a synthetic pear flavor. Not any good.

Pours almost colorless, bordering on yellow-tinted. No head to speak of although there is some carbonation. Aroma is a pears and artificial sweetener. Flavor has a bit of pear to it with a bit of a twang that is nice, but the overwhelming flavor is artificial. Maybe ice cold on a very hot day this would be ok, but fairly pedestrian as far as ciders or perrys go.

A light and drinkable perry that is inoffensive due to lack of character. The taste is somwhat bland, but I could see a non-beer drinker enjoying more than one of these. Overall, fair.
