(22oz bottle, thanks drew) Medium white head, nice retention, atop crystal clear apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, cereal, grape, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, cereal, some lemon/lager yeast, light grape, grassy. Light body, some crispness.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with shigadeyo (thanks!). Poured a lighter and slightly hazy yellow color with an larger sized white head. Aromas of wet grass, spices, and biscuit/bread. Tastes grapes and lemons (a little puckering) that kinda drowned out anything else going on. Thinner body.

Bottle... Hazy, light golden lager with a huge, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. Grainy, slightly lactic nose with more than only a suggestion of cornmeal. The flavor’s a little on the tangy side. I get the feeling there would be more of a hop "snap" if not for the buffer (so to speak) provided by the acidity. Medium-bodied and fizzy with a crisp, modestly pungent, dry finish. With the haze, the huge head and the acidity, I’m thinking this bottle caught a little bug somewhere along the line. Oh well, it was enjoyable (maybe even more so, for me) nonetheless. A big SHOUT goes out to aofoxxy for providing the bottle of this classic beer!

Pours gold with a large white head. Smells of sweet malt, toasty, yeasty. Tastes of caramel, some sweet fruity hints breaddy.

Wooden Shoe Lager Beer, from a 22oz bottle thanks to Drew. Cereal grain and grape nut nose, a bit of some sweet LME as well. Golden orange apple juice color, looks good with a white, decent-sized head. a bit musty and doughy nose over time. Dusty dough and biscuit malt flavor, more LME flavors, slick up front, old cereal grains and maple toast... weird ginger ale and apple juice malt flavor.

This has a really nice pour, a deep golden body with a HUGE rocky head that slowly caves in around the edges, leaving a thick lacing behind. The aroma is grainy and has a touch of caramel, some fresh bread, and a light flowery scent. Medium bodied, it tastes of honeyed bread with the right amount of floral bitterness to balance it out. Good sessionable lager.
