I’ve had this beer on two occasions. At the Minster Oktoberfest, on draft at the Wooden Shoe. Pale color, and an incredible white head that clung to the pitcher. A grainy tasting lager, only slightly better than Miller. 6 months later, on draft at K-Vill Inn. I also bought a draft Hofbrauhaus lager for comparison. The Wooden Shoe was much better than the Hofbrauhaus. Carmel tasting with a light nuttiness. Delicious, but a little too much carbonation.

22 ounce bomber from Arrow Wine and Spirits. Deep gold/ copper color, big head with good retention and lacing, typical lager aroma mixed with sweet floral notes, fine somewhat sweet flavor with floral notes and good hop and malt balance. A very fine lager, and a big raspberry to those who routinely dismiss the style. Once again, Barrelhouse shows how it’s done.

A bottle from a german pub next to Minster, Ohio (who has authentic german beer the fist wed of every month): The K-village Inn--see my place ratings. This was the best of the two, though a tad over carbonated which showed in the head and the lack of lacing. The taste is orange carmel and toffee and dances on you tongue becasue of the carbonation. A think maltiness in the finish.

This has a really nice pour, a deep golden body with a HUGE rocky head that slowly caves in around the edges, leaving a thick lacing behind. The aroma is grainy and has a touch of caramel, some fresh bread, and a light flowery scent. Medium bodied, it tastes of honeyed bread with the right amount of floral bitterness to balance it out. Good sessionable lager.

22oz bottle picked up at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton - Pours golden with a nice fluffy white head that stays a while and laces some. Good bready aroma and also some noble hops. Flavor is quite sweet with bready notes and a nice German hop finish. Smooth and easy drinking throughout.. I thought this was a pretty solid brew overall!

Pours golden with a nice white head. The aroma is slighlty malty with the hops being noticible. The flavor has a slightly malty sweetness and a pinpoint spiciness to the hops at the finish. Overall a nice, drinkable, brew.

Bottle from Belmont Party. Clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. my expectations where met.
