The nose is light with a touch of malt and sweet caramel. The taste is also very light for the strength, with the sweet malty notes again, there is a hint of floral hops in a light bodied, somewhat dry finish. Tasted at The woodforde’s Beer Tent at the 2004 Royal Norfolk Show. (Thanks to Spiesy for those kind words about the R&C, Snettisham, i’m one of their chefs!) Malty again in the favour, though a little tart at first, but improved through the glass. Maybe a bit watery. RichardGretton (3156), Leicestershire, England

If you fancy nick away to Norfolk for the weekend I can recommend this lovely gastro pub. The service here was wonderful and the food authentically British. The pints weren’t bad either. As well as the Woodfordes Wherry, the Nelsons revenge was brought out to mark a Nelson anniversary. Being Nelson country ’up them there parts’ it was lovely compliment to the food. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
