Poured from the bottle, a bright orange (slightly cloudy) with no head. Tangy fruits in the aroma. Flavours are not very strong, but the smoothness in the mouth in followed by an enjoyable bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy amber colour with not even the merest suggestion of a head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Taste is hoppy, fruity, some vanilla. Not bad but I don’t like the mouthfeel; a bit flat and leaden for me.

Pours entirly flat, no carbonation at all, therfore no lacing or any signs of it either, making me think there was somethign wrong with the beer. Aroma however is hoppy and citruisy, good start. Taste is similar though not too much going on but very pleasent. Nice warming senssation as it goes down and increadibly drinkable. Maybe a good but dangerous beer.

Cask (gravity) at Burton Winter Ales Festival 2005. Pale amber, looked like it had been through someone earlier, really rather grapefruity and hoppy which was surprising, sour finish, lacked substance for a strong ale so lost points along the way. Shame, really.

More an IPA than a strong ale, to me. Plenty of hops and a quiaffing quality. Strength is not noticed.

Cask conditioned - handpump - White Horse - Parsons Green London SW6. A golden coloured beer with some citric hop in the aroma together with creamy alcohol. The taste is very nice with hops, alcohol, vanilla and some creamy texture coming through. A dangerously drinkable strong beer.
