Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 1, 2009 (bottle conditioned) Nice eazy to sink ale . To me it tastes fReSh and cask ale resemblig ,ovbiously cause its alive and not stale like too many UK bottled beerz. There is a cool amber glowing base that welcomes you ...with fluffy white top. I’d have given it a 5 but the head died too soon, which sux! Flavours be a very good balance between lots of chewey , biscuty malts and dried fruit like (almond ) then the hops are floral, spicy and fruity (apricot ,oranges)Dry ,tangy hop bitternes endz. Medium reddy-brown beer with a thin white head. Dry, papery taste and almost a bit too green which, for me, is an all too common trait of UK BCAs. Slightly acrid flavour at the back of the throat, with a biscuity aftertaste and some hints of apple and blackcurrant. Disappointing for a Woodfordes brew.
