Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also Bottle Conditioned.
Originally the house beer for Limes Hotel in Fakenham.
Ingredients: Maris Otter; Crystal malt; Goldings hops. Tasting notes: A full-bodied pale amber beer with the rich flavour of Dundee cake. Sultana fruitiness is balanced by a hoppy bitterness, to give a full, but light feel. The finish continues to develop into a warm, mellow glow

Cask at Bon Accord. Very fine bitter, lots of body, gorgeous fruity hop aroma, long bitter finish. A cracker.

Cask conditioned @ JDW, Soton ( in pleasing condition for a change). Lots of elements though none to the fore. A well balanced incredibly drinkable beer with a lively bitter finish.

Cask conditioned - Hobgoblin Oxford -handpump. A light brown coloured beer with lots of citrus hop on the aroma and a real pleasant hoppy taste which is well balanced by the alcohol. A good beer when on song, and this was pretty good.

Bottle conditioned, 500 ml. Bought at Memorable Cheeses, Ipswich. No head, very little carbonation. Deep amber colour, hazy (I poured the yeast in). Aroma is hoppy, oaky, slightly spicy. Well balanced flavour, just the right blend of fruitiness, hoppiness and maltiness. Nice hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. A good beer!

Bottle. This was great, even out of the bottle. Nose is quite aromatic, with some mandarin, i and i also got some cereally malt. The palate could not have been better balanced, nothing fancy, but balanced. At first, you get a slightly cereally malt flavour, but then some wonderful, flowery, lightly earthy, mandarin flavoured hops, bitter. Nice round mouthfeel. Can’t wait to try it on cask.

[Cask. The Cavell, Norwich.] A sturdy bitter which does the job. Good bitterness levels and solid fruit, not the wimpy stuff. A traditional style of beer done to the nines.

The aroma is very fresh hoppy on a malty and yeasty background. The color is a clear orange and it has a beutiful lasting white head. The flavor is also very fresh with on a sweet background it contains strong notes of hops, both aroma and bitter, fruit (oranges), oil, and grass. Before it ends on a great bitterness that leaves a hoppy dryness on the tongue. A great bitter - and mine was even bottle conditioned.
