Oct 31, 2005 500ml bottle from Pitfield Beer Shop. Black beer, with no head. Reall y nice aroma with molasses, choc and intense hop as well. Good in mouth. Again lots of molasses, dark treacle, coffee and hop dryness on the finish. Really good dark beer

Aug 1, 2005 Deep garnet body, thin/medium buff head. Earthy aroma with figs, caramel, musty cabinets, and toffee. Possibly a bit sulfuric as well. Sour body with light toast and notes of rubber/plastic. Very thin-bodied. Strange and not so good...I don’t think I’m going to finish this bottle.

Jul 13, 2005 Pours a deep mahogany brown with a frothy light tan head. Aroma is dry, earthy and caramely malty with some light raisins. Body is fairly viscous for a mild and sweet with a touch of toffee and butterscotch. Very drinkable and decently complex beer.
