[Cask at GBBF 2004] An amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is very hoppy and sweet - quite nice. The flavor is sweet with notes of both hops and grass - very fresh, but the body is thin.

Sampled cask conditioned. Amber coloured. Rich aromatichoppy smell. Light bodied, dry and fruity. Notes of hay, delicate light malt profile, excellent flowery, fruity hop flavour. Sparkling mouth feel. A top class bitter, remarkably flavourful for being only 3.8%

Cask (handpump) @ The Fat Cat, Norwich, England NR2.
Clear medium yellow orange amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, old malt, old apples. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (310708)

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is nectar, wood and some bitter fruits. Flavour is pretty much the same. Quite long wooden aftertaste.

Bottle Conditioned
Cloudy golden color. Very nice hoppy aroma, pine resins. The body is quite weak, dry, a bit sour; but it has a high hopping, aggressive, aromatic, metallic, with a pretty long final. Refreshing.

(bottle, Gyle No. L37) Lightly hazed copper with minimal off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, alcohol (sherry/port), grape, orange, melon. Taste is mild up top, then turns fruity before finishing with that same sherry/port flavor. Watery light body. Based on other descriptions, I would guess that this beer has gone stale from age, but I have no idea for certain given that I have no idea what a Gyle number is, nor can I find any info on the brewery website.

Gravity cask at Red Lion, Snargate. Even better than I remember this beer. Full on hops and a rounded fruitiness and body. Really one of my favourite beers in the world when it is in this condition. Had it the night before and it was very good, but this had improved by the following afternoon
