Commercial Description:
This BOLD flavored, extremely well balanced India Pale Ale is defined by premium hops and a fine selection of varying malts. At 8 1/2% by volume and brewed with three varieties of hops, Woodstock IPA TM is the new Imperial style ale with plenty of bite to match its bark!

Whats up with all these low scores???? Thanks to thebeercellar2. Dark amber color. Smell of pine, grapefruit, brown sugar, honey, grass, hops, citrus zest, spice and some alcohol. Taste of hops, pine, grass, caramel, lemon/ orange zest, grapefruit, peppery spices, alcohol and malt. This is what I like! Excellent IPA. Nice Hop bitterness!

12 oz bottle thanks to NachlamSie. Pours copper with ivory head. The aroma is sugary sweet with a hearty dose of pine resin and some dried pineapple. The flavor is piney hops up front, and a sorty of caramelly, deep sweetness kicks in shortly after, along with some woody tannic notes. The bitterness kicks in toward the finish and gets stronger into the aftertaste. Still doesn’t get out of control, though. Pretty decent, but too safe. Needs to be edgier to be a quality IIPA.

12 ounce bottle from pintocb. Pours a clear copper with a dense, lasting tan head. Spicey, and lightly piney hop aroma. Bold caramel malty base. The flavor is a bit restrained. Balanced, which does not fly in a IIPA. Medium/Full body. Good enough beer, but it certainly can be better.

Bottle with breakfast. Pours red with a pretty nice head. The aroma is rosy with a decent citrus array and a tart note. The flavor is adequately hopped, but nothing notable for this style. Grapefruit and pineapple are noted along with decent caramel and a bit of bark. This is not a very big IIPA. I think this is a hard style to really have seamless hop/malt interaction and this isn’t the most graceful example. The grainy alcohol flavor becomes more apparent in the flavor as it warms.

Bottle, thanks NachlamSie! Pours dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma is very nice, full of pineapple, grapefruit, citrus and pine. The flavor is stronger on the grapefruit, aptly backed by sweet malts, but the overall hoppiness is tame for the style. I really think this would be a great session beer.

Pours dark burnished copper-orange with a fully receding light tan head. Aroma of sweet toffee and candied grapefruit. Mouthfee is full bodied and slightly resinous with sticky malts. There is very little elegance to this beer. It is a straight up hop and sticky malt fest.

Large tan head, good retention and some nice lacing hanging around. Lightly hazy copper/light amber colored brew. Nose of light citrus and some pine, faint caramel and a touch dirty. Body is medium with a spry carbonation on the tongue. Citrusy hops, grapefruit, a little mango and tangerine backed up by some grainy malts with the 8.5% alc. not being really evident at all. Finish is fairly dry with a light fruitiness and some grainy malts also. Thanks to TBC2 for this specimen!

Pours a reddish orange with almost no head. Pretty big hops smell, grapefruit and other citrus rounding it out. Hops are big in the taste as expected. Pretty big in the taste, definitely get that double IPA vibe. The aftertaste in this beer is very lingering and potent. Hops are big, but not overpowering. Pretty good IPA. Nothing sets it apart from others Ive had, but solid nonetheless.
