pivnizub (3770), Porúří, Germany May 25, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Golden coloured, smaller, beaten egg-white-like white foam; quite restrained hoppy - not bitter - and sweet pale-malty nose with the faintest tinge of alcohol; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; juicy citrousy-hoppy finish with, as expected, a strong support of pale malt, becomes hoppier in the aftertaste. a restrained, but all in all a very pleasant and well rounded Bock............. MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany May 10, 2008 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy blonde foamy head. Moderately sweet pale malty nose, hay-ish with light grainy accents, a tinge of citrus and herbal hops. Medium sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly strawy, minimal grainy pale malt-character with shy notes of citrus and light herbal accents; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter finish with herbal and light floral hoppy notes. The alcohol is almost non-detectable. Balanced and quite deceptive pale Bock (06.05.08).
