Carbonation and lacing are minor.   Visible sediment floating in the glass.   Faint grainy/malty aroma.   Some horse blanket in there as well.   Initial taste proves malty, a bit of brown sugar, and an earthy feeling.   Finish falls flat, with perhaps a bit of a wet cardboard and grapfruit.   Not bad, but not really impressed either.

Pleasantly refreshing, lightly hopped aroma with interest. I’d be tell porky’s if I said I noted more than that. Caramel and crystal malt aromas, understated but balanced toffee and noble hop notes in the mouth and a soft malty hop bitter finish.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2002 Light for on Oktoberfest, but a nice alternative to the standard. Crisp, and very Pilsner like. I would probably rate this higher if it was classified as a Pilsner. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2002 Much lighter than what I normally expect from an Oktoberfest - almost looks like a pilsener. Pretty tasty, seems to be a little maltier than a regular lager.
