Sep 2, 2002 Not sure what makes this one an Oktoberfest. Looks and smells just like an everyday lager. Clear light yellow body with a big white head. Aroma is Germanic hop heavy. Flavor is crisp and clean, with medium German bitterness tempered by mild maltiness.

May 12, 2006 Bottle. Deep gold with a large rocky off-white head. Aromas are caramel malts with citrus. Some soapiness with a light floral character. Flavours are soft caramel malts. Quite smooth with light lemon and noticeable alcohol. Sugar towards the finish with earthy hops and alcohol. A bit indistinct in the middle.

Mar 13, 2003 Bottled. Amber gold, good white fluffy head and moderate condition. Caramel and crystal malt aromas, understated but balanced toffee and noble hop notes in the mouth and a soft malty hop bitter finish.

Oct 29, 2004 Bottle. Sweet berry aroma. Reddish tan color. Cranberry malt flavor with a slight hops bitterness to finish - nice full body. Man I really like the berry flavor in this beer - not overpowering but noticeable with every sip. A great unique festbier.

Sep 3, 2002 Much lighter than what I normally expect from an Oktoberfest - almost looks like a pilsener. Pretty tasty, seems to be a little maltier than a regular lager.

Oct 27, 2008 Tap at the Ginger Man. Pale yellow pour, little head. Vegetal in the flavor, clean, with pils malts, minor hops, and a maibock like taste — just a bit heavier in body. Aroma has veggie sugars and munich malt.
