Aroma of yeast, malt, some lemon, and skunk. Malty sweet taste, slightly hoppy taste in the background. goz (359), Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 21, 2003 Pale straw color, large white head leaves excellent lacing. Aroma of lightly toasted bread with a spicy hop spread on top. Flavor is of lightly toasted grain, followed with a short but nice snap of hops spice. Medium body, slightly more than medium carbonation. Tasty, smooth and good, but not quite the O-fest that the label says it is. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 4, 2003 I bought this beer on a lark, mostly because of the brewery that produces it. Pours out a honey-yellow color. The first thing I
noticed is it's lighter color than the usual suspects. Malty aromas, with some undefinable aromas mixed in. A well balanced,
tasty brew in my book. Buy some while you can, because it never lasts long here. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2002 A very fine dortmunder style. Medium bodied, pale amber in color, with a fine white head. I’m not much for beers of this style, but this stuff in fantastic. Rich, subtle malting with a light underlay of german hops. A very refined beer, with lots of character and presence. jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA

Luscious german malt nose, are those noble hops? Almost medium bodied, fresh, almost chewy,(at the end)toasty malt is this guys bright spot, touch of sweetness, fairly crisp, immensly drinkable. Hops are soft but do their job remarkably, i think they are noble. Great balance and a great helles. Drinkingdan (371), East Norriton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2002 Chill hazed lemon yellow. Thick, sticky, creamy white head. Sparse carbonation. Fresh toasted white bread aroma mixed with spicy hop notes. Soft, pliable malt body of toasty sweet malts atop a mildly crisp body and smattering of German hops. Medium body. Clean and smooth. Well lagered flavor with a malty aftertaste and building Hallertau floral spiciness. Incredibly fresh tasting and immensely drinkable. Finishes with a mild buttered popcorn maltiness and softer hops. More of a Helles but who the hell cares. Outstanding.
