| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Tap at Ginger Man and the Half Pint. Pale golden beer, slightly hazy with a thick creamy white head. Very fresh pils malt aroma. Lightly minerally with a soft baked bread crust as well. Flavour is also very fresh with a prominent crackery maltiness and a light floral hoppiness toward the back. Minerally/flinty bitterness. Comes across more like a slightly hoppy helles and is much more in the German festbier style than the typical Marzen we see on this side of the pond. Really great balance and a very nice beer. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 6, 2004 Bottle. Slightly hazy luminous gold, giant foamy lasting head. Nose alas somewhat skunky, but with a bit of grainy malt and hints of stark hops. Malt and light lemony acid on the tongue, rather sweet. Not really that good, but drinkable. I’m sure this wasn’t at its freshest. Radek Kliber (3962), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2002 Pale golden color, strong, thick impressive head Aroma was not as good as look of that beer. Slightly alcoholic, bland, light cream. Nothing that could make you proud of (except look) egajdzis (3629), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2003 Poured a light golden color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of yeast, malt, some lemon, and skunk. Malty sweet taste, slightly hoppy taste in the background. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 10, 2002 I agree with VENOM that this is not an Okto, but rather a pils or helles. Either way, it’s a good one. Crisp and flavorful, this brew goes down easy. Perhaps a bit skunky (green bottle). jgb9348 (2511), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 18, 2003 Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fairly yeasty aroma with high levels of sweetness and malt. Medium-bodied; Subtle sweet flavour with some other flavours. Aftertaste left with a very small subset of the sweetness and spiceyness. Overall, a wierd beer, not an Oktoberfest at all (a bit deceiving in the name). I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and tasted it on 17-October-2003. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 14, 2004 Hazy yellow with a chunky white head that sticks around with good lacing. Smells like a skunk walked by my house 5 minutes ago. Full mouth feel is only redeming quality. Dirtymike just dumped his out, I didn't think that it was that bad. What are you opening? Hold on, let me dump this out.
