Clear yellow with a faint bread and grain aroma. Smooth, with more sweet malts than expected for a pilsner. Finishes dry with a bit of yeasty fruitiness. Pretty straightforward, but not a bad choice.

Bottle. Typical pilsener. Slightly sweet aroma, pale golden color, very carbonated, and quite tasteless. Crisp finish, with a bit of malt thrown in. Okay for style, but I don’t really like the style.

Used to get this in Germany all the time instead of Bitburger. I’m not a huge pilsner fan, mostly coz I think there’s never enough malt taste, but there is with this one. Nice, classy.

Slightly malty, hopbitter flavor with a longish bitter aftertaste. Tasty pilsener, but doesn’t exceed the "normal" German standards. Decent and reliable.

This had just arrived at Andy’s. I love to find fresh German pils, for it is so rare. Pale yellow, clear, nice fluffy white head. The hops were very present in the nose, along with a touch of hay and maybe even a little sulfur. Flavor is nice and fresh with flavor and bitterness. The sweet malt comes through nicely. Love those noble hops. No oxidation present. Too bad it is tough to distinguish a fresh bottle from an old one without opening it up, for I would buy this again if I knew what I was going to get.

i get this stuff fresh in illinois... across the arch. it’s a very solid pilsner (no "e," as per the bottle) . i love to mix it with sessions/combos of mojo, red rye, indica, bigfoot, etc. it doesn’t just break things up, it really adds a great flavor and counter to the utter rawness that i prefer in my beer. the nose, the (very) full body, the crispness... excellent and not common for the style.

A really great crisp Pilsner. Mice grassy, malty flavors and excellent finish. Really enjoyable
