Bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a large white head. Light lacing. Aroma is grain, herbal and grassy hops, and light skunk. Flavor is herbal hops and light grain. Light to medium body. A decent Pils

Pours a clear goldn straw yellow with a fluffy bleached white head. Laces in pretty design. Aromas are bready, hoppy, and grainy. Pleasing. Smells sharp. Snappy flavor with a prickly carbonation. More bread and graininess. Hops blast through after each sip and/or outright gulp. Bitterness runs rampant...in a good way. Quite drinkable. Another nice beer find at Liberty Oak restaurant here in Greensboro.

Bottle. Pours light yellow with some yeasty cloudiness and a tight white head. The aroma has some grains, freshly-cut hay, lemon zest, and distant white bread, maybe a stray floral honey note. The flavor is raw grain, hay, lemon zest, and very distant sulfur. The finish is pretty dry, but without much distinct flavor. Aftertaste is a bit papery. All in all, a decent pils.

This bottle is labeled Premium Bavarian Beer Pilsner Style. The bottle in the pic just says Pilsner. This brew pours a slightly tawnied pale yellow w/ a medium sized, spattered creamy white froth. Head retention is minimal but receds leaving a full canopy and a sticky white lace. Aromas of aged malts and herbs. Medium nectar w/ mellow residual effers creating an almost creamy texture w/ a tad of cotton fiber. Definately European w/ a musty aged malt character accompanied by a moderate hop citrus rind spice. The finish is bittered nicely leaving mild asprin burn on the palate.

Pours a light honey color and might have the least color of any beer I have seen. No head except for a small ring around the glass. Aroma is grassy and is not pronounced. Flavor is slightly tart and almost equally sweet. I kept waiting for any real flavor to show up but then the glass was empty and so were my taste buds. It is, however, light and easy to drink.

yeah, if this is a ’classic german pilsener’, then the German’s should stick to Hefe-weissen, mai-bock, and the like and leave the pilsners alone.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Malty, herbal, hop aroma and taste. Medium body with a dry finish.
