| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Golden color with almost no head to speak of. Mostly grassy aroma with hints of skunkiness. Sure enough this beer tastes a little skunky. There’s some bitterness and straw like flavors but really there’s not much going on. TerryR (383), Oswego, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Light golden with a thick white head. Great lacing. Aroma of hay, hops and some sweet malts. Smooth, slightly sweet malty flavor with a crisp finish. This is how a lager should taste. Extra points for the memories - this was I believe the first imported beer that I ever had. Enjoyed at Resi’s Bierstube many years ago. Tmoney99 (4742), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Bottle . Poured a straw color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Heavy hoppy grass aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium hoppy grass flavor with a medium bitter dry finish. This beer did not meet my expectations. zootfinster (179), Chicago, Illinois, USA

My father often bought it in half kegs and my friends and I would always help him drink it. I didn’t see it for many years but gave recently found it available and it continues to please. It is crisp pleasant German Pils with just a little bite. It doesn’t stand out to me the way it used to years ago because I have far more to compare it with but it certainly is a beer of very good quality to enjoy.
