Pour is a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pure skunk. Flavor is light grains and very dry. Kinda a soapy feeling to this one. Nothing really going on here just got it to fill out the mis a six.

Golden color with almost no head to speak of. Mostly grassy aroma with hints of skunkiness. Sure enough this beer tastes a little skunky. There’s some bitterness and straw like flavors but really there’s not much going on.

Light golden with a thick white head. Great lacing. Aroma of hay, hops and some sweet malts. Smooth, slightly sweet malty flavor with a crisp finish. This is how a lager should taste. Extra points for the memories - this was I believe the first imported beer that I ever had. Enjoyed at Resi’s Bierstube many years ago.

Bottle . Poured a straw color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Heavy hoppy grass aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium hoppy grass flavor with a medium bitter dry finish. This beer did not meet my expectations.

Back in the “old days” when imported German beer was far more difficult to come by in the US, Würzburger could generally be found in most metropolitan areas. My father often bought it in half kegs and my friends and I would always help him drink it. I didn’t see it for many years but gave recently found it available and it continues to please. It is crisp pleasant German Pils with just a little bite. It doesn’t stand out to me the way it used to years ago because I have far more to compare it with but it certainly is a beer of very good quality to enjoy.

Savannah, Ga. - 11.2 oz bottle. Light golden pour with a creamy white head that leaves generous lacing. Worty aroma with some sazzz hops punginess. Crisp, clean flavor with some grassy notes, a hint of honey and lemon and some yeast in the back end. Slightly refreshing. Clean, even mouthfeel. Overall decent.

On draught at the Würzburger Bahnhof. Sucked this down with a bratwurst at a little concession area while waiting for our connecting train. It served its purpose well enough.
