Taste was exactly what I expect from classic german pils, nothing more, nothing less. Very crisp all the way but not very tasty, crisp malts, full of those crisp german hops, smooth but lively carbo, short finish. Well put together but in the land of the refreshing classic german pils, this one stands out like a grey suit at a lawyer convention. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A thin veil of foam barely covers the pale straw yellow.
-Biscuity, hay-like malt blends with the citrusy noble hop into a harmonious union.
-Crispy haystacks and milky sweetness balance out the noble hop caress.
-The lean and well-constructed maltiness is very clean, perhaps too much so, and the carbonation is quite lively and prickly.
What if you dig deeper?
-There is quite a bit of hop flavor, but the bitterness is subtle, offering faint grass and resins.
-The overall flavor profile is straightforward, but effective.
-The beer loses character as the pint is downed.
-This is a very drinkable, generic pilsner with just enough flavor and substance to keep you interested for a while.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2006 From a 11.2 oz. slender long neck green bottle with no bottled/freshness date.
Poured a clear pale straw golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Aromas of spicy herbal hops and sweet grainy, pilsener malts, a nice simple aroma.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, dryish, smooth light bodied mouthfeel, exactly what you expect from a pilsener.
Good pilsener taste, spicy, herbal hops that provide a pleasant bite, a little lemon honey flavor, sweet pilsener malt with a touch of graininess and a dry spicy and grainy finish, good drinkability, very quaffable.
This a great everyday pilsener, tasty and balanced, highly drinkable.
