jfm (1694), Holbęk, Denmark Aug 13, 2003 The color is black with an almost white head that lasts ok. Thats pretty much all the good things you can say about this beer. The taste is a little coffee and caramel but then its only water. ConiseurofBeer (241), Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2003 Cool bottle, but that's it. The beer was extremely thin and tasted more like an ok porter. light coffee and carmel tones, nothing special. iam (369), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Jul 10, 2003 Pours black with a very rapidy diminishing thin hean. Very light aroma of roasted malt. Light body with a light roasted malt taste. Cartoonkhaki (1149), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jul 7, 2003 There isn't much aroma at all in this. Maybe a faint roastedness. Extreamly dark redish amber when held up to the bright afternoon sun. Small head. There really isn't anything too special about this. Light burnt roastedness in the flavour. Mainly watery in the mouth. whatusay (20), San Francisco, USA May 24, 2003 Bottle: pours dark black. small light head that diminished almost instantly. I really didn't pick up anything on the nose besides that it smells like shit. Taste was pretty sharp and boring. Definitely would not drink this again. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA May 12, 2003 Nose has pleasant roasted bitterness, like coffee or chicory, and a bit of tang. Whiff of sweet or bittersweet chocolate. Dark black clear with lacing but small cocoa colored head. Light carb and thich watery (almost oily) body. Taste is a muted roasted sweetness followed by a tangy bitter finish. After is a little bitter and smoky. Somewhat dry. A decent stout. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA May 5, 2003 Updated: Jun 4, 2003This brew poured a medium head of fine to medium sized dark tan bubbles that left a nice lacing and a dark brown body with some carbonation rising up the side of the glass. It has very nice malty aroma and an initially mild coffee flavor but finishes with a slight bite, but still very nice all around. It was jJust a bit mild for a great stout. nigos (620), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England May 1, 2003 Chocolate and coffee malt aroma. Black coca cola colour with light brown head. Toasted malt flavour. A bit thin for a stout. Another average beer from Wychwood.
