biznizness (742), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bottle, picked up for me at the world makret by sneezer. Very light for an ESB, this really wasn’t very good. That’s it for this one, stay away.
AmazonMatt (268), Panama Dec 28, 2008 500ml Bottle brought by Michael Lelevier from Albuquerque to Panama. Not great. Quite watery with a slight head and golden color. Basically like a lousy ice tea watered down. Grass, hay, and slight bread. Not worth repeating. kiefdog (733), Tampa, Florida, USA Dec 24, 2008 50cl bottle from Village Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma is faintly sweet with notes of yeast, bread, hay and fresh grass. Flavor is also slightly sweet with notes of flowers, straw and fresh grass. Slightly bitter toward finish with a generally medium body. Syd (807), Waconia, Minnesota, USA Dec 20, 2008 Bottle labeled Scarecrow pours a clear golden with a big white head that leaves residual lace. It does get points for looks. The aroma is slight, floral, grassy, and bread. The flavor is subtle and just plain wrong, including a lingering cardboard flavor I often find in poorly made Cream Ale. This is a bitter, but a weak one, and certainly not an ESB. The palate is pretty watery. Overall, a waste of money on a product that never should have been bottled. Capa (770), Yokosuka, Japan Dec 20, 2008 Clear yellow. Light aroma of grass, light sweet malts, and some hops. Flavor is very similar to the aroma with a bready finish. A little boring, though not bad. tarheels86 (266), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 5, 2008 500 mL bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a small, creamy, white head. Good lacing. Aroma is grassy but muted. Taste is abominable- stale urine, battery acid, and moldy hops. Watery mouthfeel. Aftertaste is cardboard. Horrible.
