Cask at the Hobgoblin, Baker Street. Copper golden colour with a white head and lots of lace. Very bland aroma. Caramel and burnt malt flavour with a hoppy finish. Usual faily poor offering from the Hob. (and from Wychwood for that matter) doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2007 I had a few sessions with this ale and is a decent brew to go through the night. The aroma light citrus and has a medium hops level start & finish. Has hints of fruit, but not over powering. Is quite smooth from start to finish, which makes it a fun session beer. Better from the cask!! Cheers, DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Cask Conditioned at The Red Lion, Cropredy, Oxon. Orange amber colouer with bubbly head. Probably Wychwoods best beer, and definitely better in the cask, it is a smooth fruity, grainy beer with, at last, a zingy orange citrus hoppy note,
