500 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a dark reddish brown with small off-white head. Fruity aroma with hint of toffee as well. Flavour is sweet with nice notes of fruit, raisin, toffee, slight roastiness. Not much in the way of a finish. Ok.

Bottle 50cl. Pours a clear red colour with a small size head and good carbonation. Caramel and fresh fruity aroma, bit too sweet, but still nice. Taste is also too sweet for my taste, definetly caramel there, but still pretty good.

Poured from bottle, caramel/copper color with a thin head. Aroma is of a stale bread, not into it. Rather malty, not very hoppy at all. I’ve tried before and haven’t been very impressed, was a gift and while I’m happy for it there are better English ales out there.

50cl bottle @ O’Learys 16.12.09. Pours a dark brown color, with a white head. Quite crisp aroma of malt and bit spicy. Flavor is the same, spices and malt, fruits. Nice bitter finish. RE:rate- error corrected.

Appearance is a dark copper and clear with minimal head. Sweet malty aroma with tons of caramelly, bubblegum aroma and some toast and rising bread aromas as well. Flavor is not as sweet as the aroma lets on giving the brew a somewhat thin texture. The roasted malts come on a bit stronger during a moderately bitter finish.

Bottle from New Beer Dist. in NYC. Pours a clear, dark brown with ruby tints and a light, large-bubble, quickly dissipating head. Very slight aroma with hints of sweet malts and brown sugar. Flavor is medium-rich with decent complexity. Some detectable roasted malt character with sweet notes of caramel, earth and hazelnuts. A tad of bitterness on the swallow. A nice, lightly hoppy aftertaste accompanied by some burnt malt. Pretty tasty overall. Would make a nice seesioner.
