Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Feb 13, 2007 From a 1/2-litre, this poured with a shiny orange-copper color with a rocky head ... is this an Englishman impersonating an American? The aroma almost says yes ... sweetly hoppy and inviting. In the first swallow, the endeavor slows ... this is much maltier and biscuity than its American cousins. indeed this dry, subtly balanced is elegantly balanced ... the hops are penned in, but ready to rumble in the background of this excellent beer. (#2699, 2/13/2007) RileyOBaba (31), , Ohio, USA Jun 25, 2008 a warm weather favorite.....citrusy and spicy......nice condition, pale golden.....lately better than before.....now says "Blonde Beer’ on label...... BigBilly (127), London W3 6PF, England Jun 3, 2006 Dark brown 500ml bottle with attractive labelling. Poured a clear dark gold with light carbonation and white frothy head. Subtle citrus fruit nose. Beautifully balanced cereal flavour with fruit hop bitterness. Full bitter mouthfeel. One of Wychwood’s best. Hendo (110), Sint Anthonis, Netherlands Dec 18, 2005 I’m not really a big fan of heavily hopped beers but this one worked for me.
Very enjoyable BREWMUSKCLES (799), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2007 clearly a quality brew. this could be the best british brew i have ever had. hazy golden with a substantial roll in the glass. this beer is understated but make no mistake the discerning taster will clearly detect quality. the beer is beautiful and golden. it is pleasantly hoppy and quite well so. the classic bitter english/german bite that lingers combined with the american touch of citrus is enlightening. a substantial body and mouthfeel -YOU BEER GUYS ALWAYS TALKIN’ ABOUT SESSION BEER- better get some of this. pleasantly touch of sweetness and a good and light caramel and toffee infusion. head dissapates quickly. nice refreshing and easy bitter touch. very good!
