2009 Peoria International Beer Fest. Poured a very clear color with a very faint yellow, Zima-ish, look to it. Aroma is very very faint of pear and sparkling grape. Flavor is very sugary, strong pear presence, green grape and a very crisp and clean flavor. Overall I was very surprised at the flavor and palate presence considering it had no indication it was going to be this good. A great cider and one I will be looking around for the upcoming summer months.

Sampled at the Peoria Int’l Beer Festival. Clear as clear can be, at a glance you would think this is water except for the faintest of green tints. Light pear aroma is so faint it is barely noticeable, and seems more like a fruity Kool-Ade aroma. So at this point, I was not expecting much, but the flavor of this was actually quite surprising - big, juicy sweet pear, really sweet and sticky (both on the palate and on my hands!). Soft carbonation. I could see this being a great apertif to a nice cheese platter. Dare I say: sadly underrated?

Bottle. Pours transparent with a hint of yellow. Head fizzes away quickly like a sodie-pop. Faint scent of pear in the aroma, but it also smells kind of like cheap white wine. Strong sweet start (though not like any pear I’ve ever tasted) with a tart finish that come on quickly to balance out the sweet. It’s more than wine cooler, but less than champagne. It’s a pear cider!

Faint yellowish tint in color,no head to speak of.The aroma was a mild pear with the flavor coming off as much the same with a nice sweet side and mild tart side coming on towards the end of the tasting.

This it simply a wine cooler, pure and simple. Imagine a pear wine cooler, and the negative experience one could easily have with it. Here you have it.

On tap at Aero’s Pub in San Diego on the way back to the airport after day three of RBSG 2008 on 08/03/08. Water clear body with no head. Big pear aroma. Very sweet pear and sugar flavor. Medium body with high carbonation.

From a bottle purchased from the North Coast Coop in Arcata, CA this poured a very light yellow with a fizzy white head. Nose of pears. High carbonation with fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is pears and is sweet as is the finish.

...draft. Had a few times while I lived out in Vegas, and it was pretty decent. Fizzy, tasted like real pears, with no artificial aftertaste. Easy drinking, sweet, maybe too sweet to have more than two. It was alright but havn’t had it since.
