Appears very light and headless, the color of sake or a weak ginger-ale with streaming effervescence. Aromas of pear, white wine, light vinegar and shoe leather. Flavor is both sweet and tart with fruitiness and there is very little of the stomach-souring effect associated with ciders. A good one.

Says dry pear cider, but I found it to be quite sweet, but not cloyingly so. Very bright and sparkling mouthfeel. Apple and pear notes with a slight alcohol peppery finish. Quite nice actually!

Bottle purchased at Trader Joe’s. Pours clear light yellow with no head. Light pear aroma. Light body. Small sweet pear flavor with short tart finish. Very bland brew.

On tap, everywhere in San Francisco. I wither had this at the sports bar near the hotel, or the place we went to dinner (Palomino?). It doesn’t really matter I imagine. Thin clear bubbly appearance. Nice pear aroma. Nice sweet pear taste that becomes cloying about halfway through the pint glass. Thin. I love pears, so I didn’t mind this at all!

An extremely pale yellow and headless with light carbonation, this has a very sweet pear aroma, like an overly ripe Bosc. The flavor isn’t as cloyingly sweet, but carries a lighter version of the nose into the mouth. The finish is sweet yet somewhat acidic, making it fairly resfreshing when all is said and drunk.

Pale, highly carbonated. Slight pear and champagne flavors. Very crisp. I used to drink a lot of this stuff until I realized beer is a lot better.

Very plae yellow color with no head. Almost greeish in tint. The aroma is over ripe pears with a little hint of vinous character. There is a sharp, astringent smell that reminds me of mild balsamic vinegar. The taste is tart with a little bit of pears and some apples. This is mild and crisp in its finish. Not too bad since it is not overly sweet.

Bottled. Straw colored, big bubbles, no head, sparkling. Aroma is musky, pear and champaign. Flavor is champaign, pear and lightly sour. Mouth is light with very little, soft carbonation and a lightly dry finish.
