Cask at The Fountain Hotel, Tenbury Wells. Dark golden in colour with an off-white foam head. Hoppy with some sugar in the scent. Watery. Grassy malts, with some yeast present on the bitter slightly hoppy end. OK but not very exciting, and malts were more predominant than I would have expected in a bitter.

cask half @ the white horse. Looked stunning. Copper with a thick creamy head and in perfect condition. But otherwise very very unremarkable. hardly any aroma or taste. Hoppy biter finnish but that was it. too smooth indeed

Pint in the Boat, Redbrook. Not to strong in the aroma. Oak flavour, possibly nutty hints in it. Not really a bitter but smooth on the palette.

Cask conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/5/07. Decent session bitter. Copper coloured with a slight white head. A touch of hoppy aroma followed by some fruity malt and a decent dry finish. Good.

Cask, handpump at The Bell, Leominster. Copper in colour with a small white head, a good session beer if a smidgen too sweet, but not as nice as the Wye Valley HPA that I also tried.

A dark amber brown beer with a light white head. A clean, light toasted malt nose with some hop in the finish. The taste is very dry, hops are very apparent, there is a hint of sweet maltiness in the smooth finish. (Bottle).

Cask handpull Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Copper, thin off white head. Some citrus aromas. Bit watery in mouth. Some lemon/lime and hop on the end. Just a little indistinct that’s all. Not much of anything.

June, 2005. Catford Beer Festival. A very pleasant gentle session bitter with some dusty hops and a smack of malt sweetness.
