Aroma difficult to describe, yeasty and chemically but better once it’s in the mouth. Oily and fizzy in the palate with a sweet but acidic flavour. Disappointing. spikee (96), Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 5, 2006 Pours a golden orange with a bubbly white head. Sweet. $4.99 for a 25 oz. bottle. Not cheap given the slighly disappointing taste. Taste is too simplistic - thin even with no body to speak of. Wouldn’t buy again. hughie (3069), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 14, 2006 Amber colour with a bubbly off-white head. Curious chemical aroma suggestive of burning plastic. This rather spoiled the taste for me. Seemed like a decent enough pint with sweet malts and yeast. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA

This beer wasn’t cheap at $5 for a pint bottle. It was terrible. Fizzy, slightly bitter, even acidic. Not the worst cost to taste ratio, but this one might make the top 10. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 8, 2005 Drinkable, but nothing special. Orange with an initially thick head that quickly transforms into clumps of foam floating on the drink, it has a light caramel malt aroma somewhat bolstered by a Wheaties scent. Light bodied, the flavor delivers a little light fruitiness, yeast, malt, and a mildly bitter hopping. The finish is a slight citric bitterness.

Sep 05 BCA. Upon opening lots of froth gushed forth so I left it for an hour to die down. Didn’t appear to be an infection (no off flavours) just bottled too early? Fruity hop with a herbal musty undertone contrast quite well with sweet biscuity malts. The whole is unfortunately spoiled by young yeasty flavours and a slight tea like astringency in the finish. I’d be quite interested to try this in the cask. 2.4 harrisoni (6828), Ashford, Kent, England
