Bottle conditioned, 500ml, from S.H Jones, Banbury. Chestnut colour with slight white head. Malt lead beer, quite deeply roasted with a fruity background, then some added christmassy noteswith a raisin, plum pudding , bready mnotes and a scoop full of caramel. Sweetish throughout, never really grabs you, but pleasant enough.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty notes, caramel notes, light to moderate hoppy, grass, orange, licorice notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. It has a very weak aroma, the flavor is very strong. [20081112]

Redish amber colour with a medium off-white head. Aromas are toffee malts and spices. Taste was malty and with good spicy hops. Dry hoppy finish.

It is dark amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of fruity hops, malt and caramel. The flavour has smooth, pleasant notes of caramel and malt and refreshing notes of citrus, fruit and it ends on a dry note. It is a pleasant beer, not very Christmassy though.

Bottle. Small fizzy beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear amber color. Aroma was quite fruity with notes of caramel, toasted malt, floral. Over the palate came strong notes of floral, ash, flower and light malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry bitter finish.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours redish amber with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, some red berries, subdued chocolate and a touch of holly. Fine, very dry mouthfeel. Flavour has quite a lot of dry chocolate, crystal malts, some cocoa. Very dry finish. Different than most other Christmas beers, and that is not excactly a bad thing.

Bottle in the rake. Alround rating: Rich amber ruby and pale sweet malts, peppery leafy hop, definatly a fruit cake of a beer, but a bit overly sweet.

500ml bottle from Utobeer. Orange/red with lasting deep beige head. Lovely earthy hop aroma. Oh that is nice. Just shows what British brewers CAN do. Good malts, some red fruit, gorgeous red fruit, vanilla and earthy aroma. Subtle and agile ni mouth for a 6% beer. It’s just a lovely Xmas beer. Finish has a bit of sting. I wouldn’t have thought this was 6%. Rather lovely.
