Aug 4, 2007 Bottle @ Fox & Hounds, Aabenraa. Pours a dark red - difficult to see through. A small creamy beige head rests nicely upon the liquid. Aroma is primarily roasted, with a dash of chocolate and caramel. Nice, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Flavour surprises with a quite smoky edge to it - some roasted malts and a very long aftertaste. Perhaps to smoky for my liking, but still rather well-balanced.

Poured with a large head, very translucent for a stout as well. Not a very good beer really, very little depth in the flavour. Wasn’t the worst I’ve ever tried, but I probably wouldn’t drink it again.

Jun 3, 2007 I wasn’t impresed with this one at all. Not a lot going on in the aroma and way too much carbonation. The carbonation made it tough to discern much in the flavor until it warmed considerably. After it did I realized that I wasn’t missing much - the flavor was mainly watered-down coffee.

May 30, 2007 This poured thick and heady. Was a typical stout nothing really made it sand out. Flavor was that of sweet and roasted.

May 15, 2007 Bouteille de 500 ml achetée chez Oak Tree Discounts (South Plainfield, NJ). Arôme: Odeur de café et de chocolat. Apparence: La couleur est noire opaque. Présence d’un mince col beige mousseux. Saveur: Goût de café et de chocolat avec une pointe d’épices. Longue durée de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement crémeuse. Apr 6, 2007 Pour is a black with a HUGE frigging head. It almost came over the side of my glass and i only poured about 1/4 of the bottle. Aroma is hard to get past the head. Somewhat roasty and sweet. Flavor is typical dry stout. Roasted malt with some coffee and molasses. Still this is just ok, a notch above Guiness.
