Jan 20, 2004 [Cask at Gullivers, Copenhagen] A black beer with a beutiful chocolate brown head. The aroma is slightly sour combined with roasted notes - I wonder where the sourness comes from? The flavor is slightly sour with notes of coffee. The sourness pricles the tongue until it ends on a roasted malty dry note. A bad taste - on my tastebuds.

Sep 28, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear mahogany with a warm, reddish glow and a dense and frothy, beige head leaving a broad rim of lacework. Aromas dominated by roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body with both roasted and burned malty accents. Also both licorice and chocolate. Bitter, burned finish from the malts. A wholesome stout indeed! Yummy. 240906

Feb 14, 2009 Updated: Feb 15, 200950 cL bottle. Pours black and with a huge light tan head. Roasted malt, slight chocolate aroma. Dry malty, a bit of roasted acidity, breadish and solid bitter chocolate yet with a bit of smoothness. Dry and roasted finish with a light ashtray-ish note - vague smoked too.

Apr 16, 2002 Reddish black appearance. Big bacon aroma. Realy roasty and very salty with licorice flavour. Medium bodied with bitter finish.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, strong coffee, chocolate, notes of smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration.
