The aroma is slightly sour combined with roasted notes - I wonder where the sourness comes from? The flavor is slightly sour with notes of coffee. The sourness pricles the tongue until it ends on a roasted malty dry note. A bad taste - on my tastebuds. Papsoe (15009), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear mahogany with a warm, reddish glow and a dense and frothy, beige head leaving a broad rim of lacework. Aromas dominated by roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body with both roasted and burned malty accents. Also both licorice and chocolate. Bitter, burned finish from the malts. A wholesome stout indeed! Yummy. 240906 yespr (12246), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Solid black, whispy tan head, light roasted malt aroma and flavor, lots of bitterness, thin and dry, no body here, good or otherwise, although the Maryln Monroe picture on the label has great legs
