imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 9, 2004 Cask Conditioned at The Fleece, Bretforten, Worcs. Dark brown with red hue, regulation bubbly head. May the 8th ’04 was national mild day and this didn’t let us down, higher abv than most milds this was an easy drinking fruity apply mild with a background nuttiness and chocolatey malt. A lasting sumptuous bitterness completes a pretty good mild. The pub, owned by The National Trust, had a recent devestating fire in the thatch, it is going to be rebuilt and the nation should be thankfull because this is a classic country pub. The beer is being served in the barn at the moment which in itself is a beautiful building. The whole package is a delight, please support it.
