Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2006. Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Happy fruity aroma with some hints of citrus. Hoppy fruity flavor, with some hints of citrus. Long slightly bitter finish.

Cask conditioned at a Tapas Bar, Winchcombe, Sat 29th July. Pale golden in colour, wonderfully honeyish sweet beer that really slipped down a treat, nice hoppy notes, this really was a very nice beer.

Pint on Tap at the Saracens Head in the Wye Valley. This beer is easy to drink, a great summer ale. Appearance is a little cloudy, head disappears quickly. Lovely sweet initial flavour, with a bitter lemon after taste.

Very pale straw colour. The aroma is restrained, with grassy hop coming through. The flavour is much more aggressively hoppy and bitter with some balancing soft malt in the background. The finish is crisp and dry, but a touch sharp. Like Gazza, I enjoyed this brew and thought it a very good session beer, Cask (handpump) at Barrels, the brewery tap, in Hereford.

Lovely drinking beer, this. Golden in colour like a good Sauternes this brew has an aroma af malt and a luscious honeyed, malty and grainy flavour with some balancing bitterness in the malty finish. Well constructed and tasty session brew with enough interest to keep the attention. Having read the other rates, you lot must have been on a different beer! I do like HPA and drink it quite a bit and find it’s quality pretty standard in the pubs I go in. (Cask @ Plough, Worcester)

Typical pale ale, light and bright. Citrus taste with fruity undertones and a dry, sharper finish.

Cask conditioned - hanpump - Anchor Birmingham. A vegetable like off smell. There is a bit of hop in the aftertaste but otherwise it is mostly bitter. Must do better.
