This brew is a brownish-orange color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of burnt malt, caramel and hops. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, sweet caramel and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is roasty with a bittersweet chocolate and hops aftertaste. Decent all around. A pleasant, well-hopped but smooth and flavorful ale. Malt flavors got better as it warmed up - I ordered it while I had a stout and let it warm up! DJMonarch (6878), Northwich, Cheshire, England
