An unclear red beer with a small disappearing red head. The aroma is dominated by cherries. The flavor is sweet with loads of cherries - though artificial. The end is dry - but where is the sourness???

I’m pretty sure I saw the ABV at 8.2% on the menu. Muddy, pinkish hue crowned by a diminishing head. Heavily grainy nose, bready, soapy and loaded with raspberry potion. The wood undertones once again hint at oxidation while tea-like tannins fight off the biting carbonation. Vinous, tart and simplistic fruit beer.

Draught, Wynkoop, Denver. Head is pink, mostly diminishing. Body is dark purple-red. Aroma is trace malt (toasted grain), with a note of raspberry. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Simple and sweet, just the way a lot of people like fruit beers (think New Glarus Raspberry Tart).

Tap @ Wynkoop: Poured a hazy purple color with a pink head. The aroma had big raspberry notes. Very fruity with a hint of tartness... The flavor was lightly tart and fruity. Raspberry and tannic fruit skins.

Poured a brownish red color with a light pink head. Aroma of tart cherry and brett. Weak cherry taste with a touch of tartness. Way too much carbonation. I believe I will hit another brewpub next time in Denver.

Draught. Pours dark raspberry brown with an edgy pink head. Fragrant raspberry malt (meal) aroma. Yeasty raspberry malt flavor. Medium bodied and fizzy palate.
