Taste is sweet malts, cookie dough, light spice, and fruit notes. Body is creamy but has a lingering spice. Finishes with more spices, fruit notes, sweet malts and light hops. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jan 5, 2006 this was somewhat of an interesting beer. they advised me this was a barley wine? hmmm? doesnt say barley wine, doesnt taste like one, nor does the abv represent one. anyway dark brown clear fluid with little to no carobonation. nose of dried figs and raisins. malty sweet palate some strange nutmeg funk. hard to knock back. just not that good. bkelley68 (468), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2005 Updated: Jan 13, 2005Chesnut color. Nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon in the nose. Flavors are malty, with notes of honey, ginger, and the other usual suspects for a holiday beer. Decent.
