May 2, 2005 An orange beer with a small disappearing off-white head. The aroma is lovely hoppy combined with sweet caramel notes. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and oranges leading to a dry end - but before that the body seems weak in the begining.

Oct 1, 2003 (cask) Slightly hazy dark gold. Flimsy white head, reasonably stable. very fruity nose (exotic fruit as passion) and yeasty - smelling like green beer. Well-bitter taste with both noble and bitter hops. Enough malts underneath to support, without sweetening. Well-bodied. Aftertaste turns out malt-sweet. Nice one. But Imperial?

Sep 30, 2003 Cask at the Appaloosa Grill in downtown Denver, owned by Wynkoop. Cascase hop aroma. Slightly murky, with some soft orange colors and a white head. A little thin, lacking the needed carbonation, even for a cask conditioned IPA. some chalcky and stale wheat flavors. Aroma sets it up, but the flavor is a let down.

Aug 9, 2002 Very sweet-smelling nose. Mouthfeel was smooth as a baby’s bottom; maybe too smooth. Lovely aroma. Malty backbone. Not too bitter at all. Tangy in the middle, with lingering hop flavors in the finish. Tasted a lot like their ESB, only charged-up.

Aug 16, 2003 Light amber colour with a thin white head. Served at cellar temperature. A pleasant english hop aroma comes from the beer. In
addition to the hops, there is a bit of sweetness. The taste is almost purely of malt and english hops. Once again this is a tiny bit watery, but not as much as the others. Aftertaste is a subtle malt with prominent english hops. This was most closely related to a bitter, but possibly could be considered an EPA, but definately not an IPA! Overall, better than the average bitter, and one of my favourites from the brewpub. I had this on tap at the brewpub in Denver, Colorado on 12-August-2003.

Oct 6, 2003 On tap at the brewpub: Clear orange with a big white head. Citrus aroma, solid body. Starts and ends moderately bitter. If this beer had a high ABV, I didn't notice it.

May 23, 2002 This beer was served at cellar tempature pumped out of the cask. It had a nice, rocky head but not much of a nose, which may have just been the smoker sitting next to me. It drank very smooth with strong citrus flavors like a sweet grapefruit. Nice bitter finish to balance out the flavors.
