Commercial Description:
Light Rail Ale has been crafted as a traditional English Bitter, the style of Pale Ale enjoyed by such luminaries as Dickens and Churchill. Light Rail Ale, with its medium-body and clean finish, is the perfect antidote to the stresses of modern life.

draft sampler at the brewpub - Pours clear light yellow with a white head. The aroma is mild bready, grainy malt. It’s a light, malty brew with a touch of hops and fruitiness and it’s a little watery. Not bad. A bitter? Really? Huh.

Included in a sampler at brewpub. Tried several beers on a visit to Wynkoop and I THINK this was one of them. Do not remember anything standing out in particular but they were all well done.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange color with a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Shotgun pattern lacing. Mildly bitter hops aroma with notes of toasted malt. Light body with flavors of grassy hops and toasted malt, with a bit of fruit. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short sweet malt aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.

On tap at the brewery, golden color, with a thick white head, sweet honeyish oat, grainy toasty malt nose, with a hint of fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp, light zestiness, toasty malt, bready character, with a grassy flowery, herbal hop citrusy accent, leading towards a mild lime hop bitterness finish.
