Not the best IPA ever. Sorry Wynkoop, I love you, but get rid of that diacetyl!!! It had a decent hop aroma and flavor, but both were compromised by that buttery bastard diacetyl! The caramel malt flavor was accented by it however. I will still come to the Wynkoop though! I love the place!

Tap at the brewpub - lightly hazy gold - a decent IPA, with a lot of fresh hop flavor to it - however, there is a relatively high sweetness, reminiscent of honey, and the bitterness gets a bit astringent at times - basically, this is a flawed ale that has enough good hop flavor to make it drinkable.

On draught at brewpub. Best of the sampler. Very hoppy, very tasty IPA. Nice body. Crisp. Well done.

On Tap at the Wynkoop Brewery, Denver 24/09/2009 Big hop aroma. Some carbonation. Golden coloured strong in alcohol and hoppy with a little bitterness and dryness in a crisp malt finish.

To be honest, this was at the end of a long day of drinking. Pours amber with an ivory head. Aroma of fruity hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation, Strong amount caramel in the malt profile, countered citrus and grassy bitterness. Some butterscotch on the finish. That’s all I have folks.

On tap at the brewery. Slightly cloudy copper in colour with a quickly dissapearing thin white head. Aroma is of citrusy and grassy hops. Flavour is citrusy. There’s some malt sweetness in there but it is far overshadowed by the hops. I like hops, especially the variety they are using in this (Cascade? I get it mixed up with Centennial very often even though they have distinct flavours) but there is not much of a malt flavour behind it. It has a medium body, a little undercarbonated, and leaves a bitter citrusy aftertaste. A good beer overall and could be great if they put a good malt flavour in there.
